About us

The sweet, milky, spicy tea is a way of life in India and we are making our homemade recipe, for your home!

There are regional variations, but the basic components of masala chai are the same: tea, spices, sweetener, and milk. Our blend has been passed down through the Mehta family for generations.

This isn't a chain coffee shop lattes made from syrup. This isn't a boxed concentrate full of preservatives. It's homemade!

The tea: The base of chai is black tea. We use Assam (the most common in chai) as it has a strong, full bodied flavor.

The spices: Chai can include a number of different spices, but any Indian mama will tell you - fresh spices make the best chai. Our concentrate includes: raw ginger, cloves, green and black cardamom pods, star anise, cinnamon sticks, black pepper, fennel seeds and nutmeg.

Chai has many inherently beneficial properties. The black tea is rich in antioxidants and the spices have been used for thousands of years to promote good health and treat various ailments. We welcome you to read about the traditional uses of our spices!
